Mangroves and mangrove swamps are fairly safe for wading birds. Fairly safe, says it all though.
The huge split-tail Alligator seems to be digesting quite a meal. Center image sees different
kinds of waders, most of which seem to be alert to the less than stealthy gator approach. Bottom
under dense mangroves, 2 Yellow crowned Night Herons looking for food in bright daylight.
