Pg 14 (18): Life in Mangrove plants and trees. Mangrove Periwinkle snail survival tactics...

Brown (Cuban) Anoles are omnipresent in Florida... Voracious and quick, they’ll make a meal
of anything small and moving. Not all Periwinkle pediveligers head to the water for growth and
survival. Some seek shelter under cracks of the mangrove’s bark, like the juvenile to the right,
which had found a protective crib until large enough to face the music... It had broken out very
recently and, because of its size, about half a pinky's nail, was probably no longer in danger.
