Scoop: Mangrove Periwinkle snails (Littoraria angulifera), mating...
Both snails hold on to the mangrove branch with their muscular underbody (foot) covered
with a sort of gooey mucus. The female (..?) at the bottom sports a rather severely damaged
shell which doesn't seem to be a hindrance. It appears to be about 2 thirds through the self-mending process. Before completion, it will have to extract a lot more bio minerals from its mantle, the active membrane between soft tissue and hard shell.
