Super Scoop... Feasting male Gladiator Meadow Katydid (Orchelimum gladiator)
<Photograph by © Wolf Peter Weber of a Gladiator Meadow Katydid (Orchelimum gladiator) feasting on butterfly eggs.>

Quite a scoop, one might say: A male Gladiator Meadow Katydid
(Orchelimum gladiator) feasting on (seemingly) freshly laid butterfly eggs.
Many species, including our own, like to make a meal off the eggs of others...
Too bad a canopy of branches and leaves above were obstructing natural
light from illuminating the scene. With a long focal macro lens,
I had to use a flash, causing some of the washed-out highlights...
Anyhow, what a moment... “Caviar breakfast, anyone”..?
